Privacy policy

Last updated October 26, 2026.

This policy explains what information Ledgerline collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers ledgerlineaudit.com, the forms and tools on it, and the emails, LinkedIn messages and LinkedIn forms we send or run. Ledgerline is a trade name of VectorPath Labs Inc. (“Ledgerline”, “we”, “us”).

What we collect

Information you give us. When you email us, book a call, reply to a message, or submit a form (including a LinkedIn lead form), we receive what you send: usually your name, email address, company, job title, and anything you write.

Information from public records. Much of our work starts from public filings, such as the Form 5500 filings the U.S. Department of Labor publishes and peer review information the AICPA publishes. These can include company names, plan details, and the names of people who signed a filing or lead a firm. We use them to decide who to contact and what to say.

Business contact information from other sources. We obtain work email addresses, job titles and similar business details from professional data providers, currently Apollo.io and Clay, and from public websites, such as a firm’s own team page.

Information collected automatically on our website.

  • Pages viewed, the site you came from, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, through Google Analytics. Outside the European Economic Area and the UK, Google Analytics’ advertising features are on, so Google may use this information to build advertising audiences for us.
  • A small record kept in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) that remembers how you first arrived and how you most recently arrived, for example from an email or a LinkedIn ad, so we can tell which of our channels are useful. It holds a channel name only, never the address of the page you came from. Its entries are named ll_ft and ll_lt, and each lasts 90 days.
  • The LinkedIn Insight Tag, which lets LinkedIn report on visits from LinkedIn ads and build advertising audiences.
  • A service from Apollo.io that may identify the company a visit comes from, based on the visitor’s IP address.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Apollo.io service are not loaded at all for visitors whose browser sends Global Privacy Control, or whose device is set to a European time zone.

Personal plan pages. Some of our emails include a link to a page about a specific company’s public filing. Each link carries a unique code, so when it is opened we know which page was opened and when. These pages are not listed in search engines and are not linked from public pages. We record whether the page was opened, whether the reader used the page’s controls, the browser type, and the network the visit came from (the network’s owner and a broad address range, not the full IP address). The page’s unique code is never passed to Google, LinkedIn or Apollo.io.

The plan lookup tool. When you use the plan lookup tool, the company name you type and whether it matched a plan in the public filings are sent to us, along with how you arrived at the site and a random code that changes every day. If the company is one we are already in touch with or plan to contact, we note the lookup in our customer relationship system. The name you type is never passed to Google, LinkedIn or Apollo.io.

We do not collect payment information, government ID numbers, or information about plan participants.

How we use it

  • To contact firms and companies about our services and to reply when you contact us.
  • To schedule and hold calls you request.
  • To understand which of our emails, pages and ads are useful, and to improve them.
  • To keep records of our business contacts in our customer relationship system.
  • To comply with law and protect our rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for anyone else’s own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, under their own terms and for our purposes: email and productivity (Google Workspace), our website and email host (Hostinger), our customer relationship system (Attio), internal team notifications (Slack), scheduling tools (Cal.com and Calendly), analytics (Google Analytics), business contact data (Apollo.io and Clay), and LinkedIn for advertising and lead forms.

Advertising audiences. To show LinkedIn ads only to the people they are meant for, we may upload lists of company names, and of the names, titles and employers of business contacts, to LinkedIn, which matches them to its members. LinkedIn handles this under its own terms and privacy policy.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a merger, financing or sale of our business.

Email and messages

If you receive an email from us and do not want more, reply and say so, or use the unsubscribe link where one is provided. We will stop. LinkedIn messages include LinkedIn’s own option to decline further messages.

How long we keep it

We keep business contact records while they are useful for the relationship and for a reasonable period after, and we delete or anonymize them when they are not. Google Analytics keeps website analytics data for 14 months.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email hello@ledgerlineaudit.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

California residents. California law gives you the rights above to know, correct and delete, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. Our use of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Apollo.io service and Google Analytics’ advertising features may count as sharing for advertising under California law. You can opt out by emailing us, by turning on your browser’s Global Privacy Control setting, which we honor (the LinkedIn and Apollo.io tags are not loaded and Google Analytics’ advertising features are switched off), or by blocking third-party cookies.

Cookies

You can block or delete cookies and other site data in your browser settings. The site works without them, though we will not be able to tell how you arrived.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
